Mobility of high quality students, emerging, early stage and established researchers and administrators into Europe from the East-Asia region. The main areas of interest – Electrical, Electronics engineering and Information and Communication Technologies, Photonics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Power systems and energy, Informatics, Communication Engineering and Microwaves.

The specific objectives of EMA2 - STRAND 1 are:

  • To contribute to the mutual enrichment of societies by developing the qualifications of men and woman so that they possess appropriate skills, particularly as regards the labour market ...;
  • To promote mobility both for students, researchers, academics and administrative staff ... especially from vulnerable groups ... to obtain qualifications and/or experience in the European Union;
  • To contribute towards the development of human resources and the international co-operation capacity of HEIs in third-countries through increased mobility streams ... in accordance with the principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination.

In total, there are over 100 scholarships / fellowships available for the duration of the project. 

All first call mobilities must start by the 1st of September 2012. All second call mobilities by the 1st of September 2013 and conclude by 14 July 2015 (staff mobilities are for one month and may start at any time). 

The duration of the exchange depends on your level of studies or research/staff status whether that is Bachelor, Master, PhD, Post Doctorate and Staff (Administrative & Teaching) more info

Applicants must be nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand, Pakistan to be considered for exchange in Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom more info
